The very first Treehouse Toys opened its doors in Portsmouth NH in 1993 with a mission to offer the very best toys in a fun and beautiful location. Owner Kathleen's vision included enchanting trees and greenery, whimsical displays, and of course, a counter that looks like a tree house!
In 1998, she expanded to Portland, finally settling in the heart of the historic Old Port. Treehouse Toys Portland features the same magical vibes, along with a working LBG model train that chugs along above families below. Both stores filled with classic and trendy toys, books, games, infant toys, and stuffed animals.
In 2022, with plans to relax a bit more, Kathleen passed the baton to long-time employees Rania and Ali. Having worked together for years, the two knew Treehouse Toys inside and out. In 2024, they opened the third location in the heart of downtown Biddeford in a newly renovated historic building. Of course, the newest location has all the unique playfulness of the other store, and features a majestic reading tree for reading and playing.
